Objects

My work evolves constantly. I always have new ideas and experiment with new materials. During the lockdown in Berlin I kept finding these huge cardboard boxes - packaging from all the things people were increasingly ordering online. I started collecting them because I love cardboard and paper as a material. I used the trash to build pulp sculptures out of them. In this work I am inspired by the same sources as my paper collages and sculptures: biomorphism, neuro-aesthetics, colour theory, symbolism and archetypes and the subconscious mind.

I create abstract, organic shapes and experiment with negative or empty space which determine the composition and atmosphere. Small changes can have big effects. Unexpected shapes originate which appear to be the essence of what I want to express. To quote Frank Lloyd Wright: β€˜space is the breath of art’
